Uzunyayla workshop was organized by Medine Altıok, PhD Candidate from RWTH Aachen University, Faculty of Architecture ; AGU Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture faculty members. Prof. Burak Asiliskender, Assoc. Prof. Nisa Semiz, Assist. Prof. Özlem Kevseroğlu, Lecturer Nihan Muş Özmen, and Ress. Assist. İrem Baz.
The workshop started with excursions to Talas, Ağırnas, Cappadocia and then continued with field studies of Sacayağı village in Uzunyayla. According to the studies in 2022, students continued to examine the cultural landscape values, migration stories of the villagers, and architectural observations in Sacayağı. The data obtained in the field were transferred to digital media and a travel diary was prepared and the workshop was concluded with poster presentations.
